Eight million Americans have fallen into poverty since last May.
Lower-income households saw compounding stressors such as unemployment, food insecurity, housing instability and adverse mental health effects skyrocket. The impact on our nation’s children is immeasurable.
Yet, due to a unique project known as Families Flourish, for 10 single-mother households in central Ohio this catastrophic event proved to be a moment of resilience, opportunity and, even, prosperity.
