Back in February, Steve Heiser, Rachel Garshick Kleit and I sat down to capture our memories of those first years – BEFORE we welcomed families.
April 2016 is the date of the first “official document” we can find for what was, at the time called “Housing Opportunity Pilot.” These were the meeting notes dated 4-25-2016. Attendance wasn’t taken, but the group was already discussing items such as how to help participants understand their tenant rights and responsibilities, how credit scores, savings and income would shape the criteria for the program, and much more.
